Meet Jasmine

I was born and raised on a beef cattle farm in Bowling Green, Kentucky where I learned to barrel-race horses and raise animals (and siblings). I’m half Mexican and half Caucasian and speak both English and Spanish fluently. I studied Business Marketing at Western Kentucky University before relocating to Louisville, KY. Louisville has inspired me beyond my wildest dreams. From the amazing food scene to the eclectic architecture and diversity, the city has motivated me to learn, grow, and explore. We’re very lucky to have an airport in our city making it easy to fuel our travels!

I enjoy food more than most people. I love to cook and food has been such a big part of my upbringing and life since I can remember. Food means family. If people are coming over, we make sure to have food prepared. Food is literally the center of everything I do. It seems to be the one thing that can bring anyone together, for the better.

I am an avid marketer and enjoy a career in creative advertising. I am doing my part one recycle-able item at a time, I love to find new ways to up-cycle things, and am always on the lookout for innovative new brands.

Although my blood is Mexican-American, my mother (I was adopted, but that’s a whole other story) is from Ecuador where I’ve been over 20 times to visit. Ecuador is a huge part of who I am and will forever hold a very special place in my heart.

meet christopher

Hello! I’m Christopher! I grew up on the Northeast side of Atlanta and lived in Georgia for most my life. Side note: Everyone has mixed feelings about the airport in Atlanta, but it is my favorite! In 2016, I fell in love with my beautiful wife and moved to Louisville, Kentucky to start a new chapter.

As a kid, I was always fascinated by history and different cultures around the world. My dream since then has been to see all 8 continents and 195 countries. As I got older, my passion for soccer grew too. That only fueled my desire to travel more.

I think one reason I am so fascinated by different cultures is because of my ancestry. One of my favorite situations to be in is when people ask where I am from and I reply with “take a guess”. Believe it or not, my Dad is from Ecuador and my mother is half Caucasian and half Fijian. I have been lucky enough to visit Ecuador several times and it naturally feels like a second home.

I’ve always loved food, but never pushed too much out of my comfort zone till I met my wife. Although I swear Louisville has the best food on the planet traveling allows me to test that theory all the time.

In Louisville, I work as a Talent Acquisition Manger for an amazing company. Connecting people with their dream jobs motivates me every day. Being an outgoing personal and very social allows me to connect with people on a personal level very easily.

The meetups

Chicago, Illinois

We do our best to host at least one meetup each month in Louisville and other cities we may be visiting. We typically pick a local favorite or a new up-and-coming restaurant or bar to meet at where we can relax and learn more about each other while sharing travel stories. Whether you want to help host or you’d like to join us for our next meetup, we’re excited to meet you and learn more about who you are.
